Meet the Author: 

Tilda Balsley is available for school visits where she leads children in the fun of Readers’ Theater with her new picture book Let My People Go!  Time is allotted for children’s questions about writing, and book signing if desired.

Readers’ Theater for Fun and Fluency: 

In conjunction with a program for students, Tilda Balsley can include an afterschool workshop for teachers.  Based on fluency research, this session shows teachers how to use readers’ theater with students to encourage enthusiastic rereading. Participants will learn to write scripts from familiar picture books to use with their students.

Tilda has a BA in English from Queens College in Charlotte, NC and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
